Valentina started her career as a dancer training at the London Contemporary Dance School.  Since graduating in 1994, she has been working as a performer, co-creator, rehearsal director with many dance companies and directors, across theatre, opera and film, including Requardt & Rosenberg, New Adventures, The Cholmondeleys, H2 Dance, FeveredSleep, Simon Vincenzi, Fabulous Beast, Vincent Dance Theatre, Sasha Milavic Davies, Andy Field, Made in China and Paramount Pictures.

Her interest in film has seen her develop a parallel career as a freelance camera operator, specialising in the capture of live performance and becoming one of the in-house  camera operator and director at The Place Theatre since 2006.
