A dancer, a storyteller, a romantic realist, a comedic tragedian and a tragic comedian, he is unique and almost impossible to categorise. In a Nutshell is a monologue from the future, a lament for a lost era told by a lone man sitting in an empty auditorium talking to an invisible audience about what live theatre used to be and what it meant to him personally. Combining dark humour and melancholy, Duke imagines a theatre-less society where he has to explain what live performance was to a future generation.
