A Tale of Two Cities Creatives

Designer: Amber Vandenhoeck

Amber is a scenographer, light and set designer based in Antwerp, Belgium.

After various studies and jobs in 2009 she started touring worldwide with renowned dance company Peeping Tom. Quite fast she started to design their remarkable sets. Creating fascinating spaces for untold stories. Taking elements from reality and turning them into bizarre other worlds of imagination. As big as possible. That is what she has done ever since.


Lighting Designer: Katy Morison

Katy is a Lighting Designer based in South Wales who works with Theatre companies and directors both in Wales and across the UK. Her recent work includes A Tale of Two Cities for Lost Dog Dance, Typical Girls for Clean Break & Sheffield Theatres, Why Are People Clapping? and Moving is Everywhere, Forever for National Dance Company Wales, and Possible for National Theatre Wales. 

She has worked as an Associate Designer and Re-lighter on tour for many productions and renowned Lighting Designers.  She studied at the University of Hull and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where she also works as a lecturer and Supervisor.  She was part of the Lighting Team at Sherman Theatre for over 7 years. 


Projection Designer: Will Duke

Will Duke is a video artist, filmmaker and projection designer based in the UK. Will studied Fine Art at the Ruskin School of Fine Art and Drawing and at the Glasgow School of Art. As a visual artist he has exhibited throughout the UK and internationally. His video work is part of museum and gallery collections in Scotland, Norway and at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Since 2009 Will has been working as a projection designer for Contemporary Dance and Theatre. Will works across theatre and dance and also within contemporary music and visual art installation. He has a deep working knowledge of photography, digital animation, motion graphics and digital film techniques and is passionate about cinema, visual culture and the ever-evolving possibilities for the integration of the moving image into live performance.

Recent collaborators include Simon McBurney, John Fulljames, Melanie Wilson, Natalie Abrahami, non zero one, Fevered Sleep, Unlimited Theatre, Coney, Douglas Rintoul, and Ben Duke.

Sound Designer: Hjorvar Rognvaldsson

Hjorvar was a sound designer and long-term collaborator with acclaimed dance theatre company, Peeping Tom.
